NETWORK PROBLEMS
As long as the IP address doesn't end .1, .254 or .255 then that should be working.
Open internet explorer and put into the address bar:
216.239.39.99
If you get google then it's just the lack of DNS servers or incorrect ones thats the cause.
Get into the properties for the connection,
Highlight Internet Protocol (TCP/IP) and click properties,
You'll have the manual IP set there,
If you wanted a DHCP address you simply set that and the DNS option below it to auto.
However with a manual IP it requires manually set DNS servers so enter the following:
195.92.195.94
195.92.195.95
I notice that when I plug my network cable into my laptop in the UPnP Router Table there are 2 entries for udp and tcp in but when I plug it into my PC there are no entries.
Could this explain why even though I can get a connection now, I still can't get the internet.
