Thanks for replies Keith and Elhana,
Have tried this but afraid both boxes are set to automatic...... By the way is it ok to have both speedtouch and wireless plugged in at the same time? (apart from phone cable)

I would recommend you uninstall the speedtouch completely . Chances are your Internet options are set to dial a connection if you have a modem attached . This would explain why your getting nothing . Check in those options from IE7 that its set to Never dial a connection .
