I received the Livebox about 4 weeks ago followed by an email to say the free phone service would be activated "shortly". The broadband is working perfectly (touch wood!) but I still haven't been activated after several calls to the Customer Service Helpline spread over the last 3 weeks. This evening, after much moaning , I was put through to a member of the "escalation team". It transpires that Orange have had this problem since before Xmas! .....and there is still no future date for fixing it!! Has anyone else had this problem and have they now been activated?
P.S. I am now awaiting a return call from Orange with hopefully a date for activation but some reason I doubt an early let alone a haapy response.
How soon after setting up your Livebox did you get the email?
I only set up mine on Monday, so I guess I have a while to wait yet. I just hope they don't send the email to the address which is used for the Livebox Original username/email) as I no longer use that email address and is not accessible from Orange
yep I am the same been told head office need to sort it that was 3 weeks ago. they sent my live box 5 doors up the road and now this but they not tryed to bill me yet. I am not going to let them take a penny untll I get what I ordered on 4 Dec
By law they can`t bill me untll I get what I ordered anyway. I now what the right to tell them that I dont want them anymore. got a email off them today.

its so easy to sort out start again. as you have balls it up from day one with my address at the start then sending live box to that address then falling to setup my adsl right BT did the work right. then they called to say are you happy with Orange so told them no I have no livebox was told to use a old router so I looked for a old one. got it setup to find my adsl was not on there system but my router was saying my line has adsl.and the after care dept told me I am live. and now the voip stll cocked up .I am going to wait till they get it going and then say bye.as I will win as 10 weeks to install is not what I ordered I ordered 10 days
This morning there was one light flashing and one light steady on the Livebox and no internet connection. I phoned Customer Support who led me through the procedure for re-connection, checked in the Livebox Configuration and the phone had been ENABLED!!!. That's 5 weeks to the day since the Livebox arrived. Also an email then arrived with details and the 0845 number. I plugged in a phone and there was a dialing tone!!
At last, but what a shabby and sloppy method Orange has adopted for dealing with this problem (and I understand that it's quite widespread at the moment). It's a pity that Orange support never phone back when they say they will!
I have had wireless and talk for well over a year and its never worked properly - gave up trying...
oh yes if you have wireless and talk and decide whats the point in having it so cancel it - they will stop your broadband send you out a big envelope to post back your livebox or charge you £100 to keep it - without letting you know that by cancelling your talk service you are cancelling your broadband !!
I found out the hard way.. they have now put me on a max user package for £17.99 but had to start a whole fresh 12 month contract with them ! this I am not happy about but have no choice really as I need broadband connection for work.. they mucked up and we suffer !!
nice one Orange - when you were wanadoo I never had any problems.. now problem after problem.
