Are you a faceless, nameless brainless monkey for a multi national I wonder? If not I wonder which corporation you rely on to put bread on your table? No, I don't like the capitalist system too much either but show me an alternative to feed my kids and I'll consider it.

No they probably won't, but I actually care about the PEOPLE I speak to, and that drives me to try and do a good job for Orange. Whether I succeed in doing a good job will probably count for zippo in the big picture, but if I can help a single person get what they should be getting from Orange, then that is job satisfation for me. I can clearly see that you are one of the few that makes the effort to please customers. Unfortunately, the one in a couple of hundred or so is never gonna be seen that way by those customers that suffer at the hands of the vast majority.
You know how bad it is when someone from Orange posts in another thread highlighting how embarrassed they feel to work for such a company. See 'Problems with 2 Meg Connections' / 'Another Hacked Off Orange Customer' / 'EmbarrassedOrange Employee'
To someofuscare : You aint the cheapest isp though. We're paying 18quid a month for an upto 2meg service with 2gig limit. Yet for 8 quid a month on top of our Sky, we could get upto 8meg with a 40gb limit. I've not had any disconnections yet, but for the money i'd expect alot faster download speed sometimes it's not even 1/2meg. Plus why have Orange gone back on their word about upgrading old wanadoo customers to 8meg when their line can support this? What i find unbelievable was the extensive advertising with billboards saying upto 8meg in foot high letters in towns and cities that don't have it. It should read upto 2meg. You should cut your bosses head off if you wanna do summit useful!
Someofuscare, despite some of your, uncalled for, comments to some of my friends here, I believe you are a good apple and thus you have gained my respect.
We know that you tech support guys aren't all bad. We're all very angry and frustrated here with Orange, the company; not you! I think you are wasted on them and you should have a job in higher management to get them sorted.
(I've just edited this post because I want to add that I wish my sister (who's had BIG problems since Orange took over Wannadoo/Freeserve) could have spoken to you, as it might have been a different story.)

I dont doubt the truth,Im sure you do care.In my case its really simple
at least 15 tech support guys failed to come up with the correct answer,so I will help you.....all you need to say is
"Our service is crap"
Now Im with BT I absolutely know this to be the case.........cos my BB has not dropped out since the change over.
So tell it like it is.........for some of us thats paying for a service that we dont get,or for a service thats complete rubbish.

your assistance goes nowhere to help anyone if the next person in line cannot be bothered to do anything and unfortunately that is what WE and YOU are up against.
I think Orange are completely wrong to have told me i had to cancel my account to leave when they should have given me a migration code. I am now stuck with a bill for something they HAVE NOT and CANNOT / COULD NOT provide...
Should be fun in court though ... i will be inviting all the media if it gets to that stage unless Orange see the error of their ways and refunds my money.
I cannot understand how they should expect anyone to pay for something that does not work !

One last point, if your willing to help then get my bill cancelled, i know lots of people have the ability to do this but are obviously too spiteful to do it !
