Hi, I'm trying to connect my livebox (standing joke here in France!!!!), not a very techie person - where do I find the WEP key. I'm trying to add a new laptop wireless.

There should be a printed label(on the Livebox set up cd). The WEP Key should be printed on that.

If Not, then look at the sticker on the underside of the Livebox.

Or go into your livebox config pages, http://192.168.1.1, user and password are admin. Go to Security and Wireless Connection, your security key is there.

Thanks alot, I've now got my wep key and understand a bit more about them!! Have got first computer attached and working with livebox (surprise surprise my first box was faulty!!). But I can't for the life of me get my laptop wireless - something to do with IP address but I don't know what - any ideas?

Have you pressed the pairing 1 button on the side of the livebox when trying to use the laptop. Does it find the network in network connections?

Hi, yes I tried pushing the pairing button number one and it seemed to show connected on the networking bit!
