Maybe I'm daft, but can anyone tell me what the USB sockect on the side of the livebox is used for? - I
can't find any info on this on the Orange site (surprise, surprise!) #
You can attach a printer to it and print from any comp on the network.
Orange alledges that it was going to become live at the start of january. They're probably trying to find out how to use it themselves, so i'll save you the bother, and give you a link to a couple of guides i've written on another forum....
As Pardus said the USB port under the 1 & 2 buttons can be used to network a printer.
The USB B port in the side of the livebox can be used as another PC connection. Just make sure the livebox software is either installed or cd in the drive and plug in a standard USB A-B cable and it should sort it out pretty much automatically.
Thank you, that has solved that mystery - I can now concentrate of trying to solve my error problem with installation of the wireless connection (having already solved the problems with the wired connection to this time consuming with this XyZ!!** Orange Box!) Hey ho!
Since writing the above I have now got my Orange Box on line wirelessly; having gone through all the eror numbers in Orange Help I found that the block was caused by my wireless mouse and keyboard - so changed the livebox to channel 9 and it is now connected.
