Well where do i start?
I used to be with wanadoo and freeserve and never had a problem. I was without broadband a while then decided to join Orange as I never had any problems before...what a mistake!
I joined around september last year. The internet was working for a week then was down for 5 weeks! You will probably know the ring back in 24 hours, 48 hours, 5 days etc etc. I wasnt impressed. Finally after 5 weeks of hell it was back on. In that time I was told no payment would come out of my account. They took a payment and so screwed up my direct debits for other bills. They eventually refunded me it and gave me 2 months free.
It worked out it was January I was due to start paying them. But just before xmas it goes down again.
Not only have i been through all the process of the ringing everyday, but the billing team rang me and said i owe money for December! In the end I set my direct debit up and what i owed (even though they will refund it due to down time) will be taken out of my account on Feb 2nd.
That was on Monday, i had a phone call on wednesday asking me to pay December, Jan and Feb!! My partner ended up on the phone to them as i was so annoyed (plus me being 8 months pregnant).
Then to top it off, today the billing team ring me to ask why i havent set up a direct debit.
Do they read the notes? No, because when i asked him to read them, it said they should not ring me again about the bill as it was sorted.
As for the internet, it still is not on. I spoke to consumer Direct who have advised me they are in breech of contract due to none performance and i am legally entitled to cancel (through proceedure) without having to pay a fee.
Orange have also now told me when it gets to 4 weeks i can cancel and dont have to pay a fee.
1 more week to go and I am shut of Orange. I have never been with a company who are so useless.
No! it's the same story as me & others. No service? then cancel the direct debit NOW and inform Services and Accounts that it's due to non-service and they are in breach of contract. Arrange another ISP NOW!

I have cancelled my direct debit....the only problem is I cant go with another ISP until I get the code which is a pain.
