My wireless adapter woud not link with the livebox - I installed and uninstalled it several times only to get an error message at the end. So I had a look through the error messages on Orange Help, and found the answer there - interference from the cordless mouse and keyboard were blocking it. But changing the channel in the livebox config. to 9 (default is 1) cured the problem - this is hot off the press as I only did it this morning!
If you go to Orange Help and scroll down to Internet and enter Livebox errors in the search box, you will get a list of all the error numbers, each of which has a link. The first one on the list is the one referred to above.
Hope this helps.
Sorry for another question!
HEY WHAT YOU NEED TO DO CHANGE THE CHANNEL NUMBERS WITHIN THE LIVEBOX
Since my wireless adapter wont find my Livebox, would installing the Wanadoo cd help? Or, would that only work with another USB dongle?
There really isn't a great deal of point installing the CD. The Orange help articles should guide you through changing the channel but the main gist of it is that you make a wired connection to the box, doesn't need to be connected to anything else but power for this bit, log into it and change the channel and try to connect again.
