Dog would you mind trying to keep these sorts of comments to a thread where they might be even slightly relevant as right now it's pretty meaningless and out of context.
I don't much care about that but this is the technical forum and this thread was discussing the specifications and technical limitations of the livebox. If I cared about those comments I probably would have never posted on this forum in the first place.
As you're comments aren't of a technical nature or related to this thread why not start your own, as you've done several times, or post to the general/monitoring sections? Least you'd probably get more viewings or replys.
BTW JohnM if you're still reading if that chip can do ADSL 2+ then it pretty much has to be down to the rest of the hardware in the livebox as on the page I posted it does specifically say the livebox's maximum throughput is 11Mb/s. Easy to overlook that figure as it's in the text and not the specs list at the bottom.
Problem is I can't really say much about where I got the info from except I don't doubt it as such.

Who knows? Course a device doesn't have to to be able to handle the full 24Mbps to be ADSL2+ compatible. When France Telecom (Orange) first launched ADSL2+ in France (Dec 2004) it was only up to 18Mbps.
