I have successfully installed the livebox onto my main computer and installed a wireless adaptor onto another computer. It worked fine last night, but after switching it back on this morning, we could not get back on line with the 2nd computer.
The network adaptor connection is fine - it shows that the wireless adaptor has connected to the livebox, but we still cannot get on line. Have spoken to Orange who say it is a problem with Internet Explorer and something to do with the TCP/IP. I am not convinced, as we have not changed anything overnight.
Can anyone help to get our 2nd computer online wirelessly (my daughter is driving me mad, as she has just got this computer for Christmas!!!)
Hi, When I open network connections, there are 3 icons. One is Local Area connection (unplugged), one says 1394 connected and the Wireless Network Connection says it is connected, firewalled, and is Belkin 802.11g wireless card.
I cannot find anywhere which says Orange - am I looking in the right place.
OK - I can only suggest you phone the Orange helpline as they helped me in my similar problem. The phone call is not that expensive although it does take a while to get ahead of the queue.

What sort of error are you getting?
Does it not connect at all or do you get an IP error of some sort?
One thing I tried was going into Wireless (double click icon near the time)
Click on general, view wireless networks - change order of prefered networks and Delete any ones which might Be Broadband, restart and see if you can try to connect again.
With the wireless PC can you open the following in internet explorer...
192.168.1.1
If so then there is no problem with the connection to the livebox itself.
Next try opening...
212.58.224.116
If that brings up a website then the internet connection is working and it's probably a DNS problem.
Go into network connections, right click and choose properties, select Internet Protocol(TCP/IP) from the list and click properties, select the use following option for DNS and enter...
195.92.195.94
195.92.195.95
Thank you Elhana - I did what you said and it now works. I cannot thank you enough.
I have already spent hours on the phone to Orange who in the end said we needed to call an engineer in to change our TCP/IP settings - I didn't think we would need to, so am glad to have been able to change them with your help.
Keep up the good work helping others, as the technical support takes absolutely ages to get through to.
