Don't you have to send it back if you cancel a contract?
If so, that person will need some glue and somme patience
i dont think so, anyone could claim they lost it during a house move....
or they could say i smashed it while waiting on hold to Orange Technical support for 45 minutes only to be told....."your through to the wrng department, you need the Liev Box Deparment!"
The live Box is the biggest peice of crap ever, it's so big and a stupid design...i'm glad it was smashed!

Well either way it'll probably end up an expensive way to relieve stress, they usually charge £100 if you can't return the livebox. Thats not just the cost of the box of course.

they would not be able to recover the money if the guy cancelled his direct debit.....sure he'd get a CCJ but who cares?

as far as i knew, the livebox is yours after a certain ammount of time and eventually your monthly subscription fee pays for it.
It's only yours if you originally bought it back when they just sold it as an extra, otherwise it's "on hire" as part of the service and you have to give it back if you change package or leave.

Must say i've actually had no problems with the Livebox itself, my only problem with Orange is the fact that people can't call my VOIP number, then again it's rarely used so doesn't matter too much.
Got our box hidden behind hifi system
I really do not see what the problem is. If people want wireless broadband and want a wireless router why not go and buy one. There are plenty of cheap ones around on ebay. My livebox does what it is supposed to do even though I did have a problem setting up the wireless (now sorted) and there was one Sunday when the @ light started flashing for all of 5 seconds when I was on the phone but since then no trouble at all. If I had of had the money at the time I would have brought a speedtouch router off of ebay what was going pretty cheap. However I get paid at the end of the month and had no money in my account at the time. (times are so hard sigh). BTW my live box is hidden behind the chair in the living room.
im having no problems whatsoever with my livebox also , i actually like it even tho at the time that glowing wanadoo logo annoyed the hell outa me at night untill i figured out how to turn it off , even now ive moved it closer to the phone socket in my parents room lol , im planning on moving to Sky anyway i have no probs with Orange but as Sky`s max package is only £10 im convinced
