1 month before your 12 months are up or must you complete the 12 months and then cancel, thereby giving them an extra 1 months subscription?
I would contact Orange about this but I haven't got the time to hang about on the phone for weeks at a time! and let's be honest, they probably wouldn't know themselves either!

You can cancel at any point within the contract if you pay off the rest so if the last payment had just gone through then you can cancel pretty much straight away. However the new terms and conditions, think they "activated" on the 12th but I'm not certain, require you to give 30 days notice to cancel.
However if you get a MAC code then I beleive you can use that as soon as it arrives, though I'm not all that familiar with the cancellation procedure.
Just had an email from someone who has shaken free. Informs me that after cancelation they still took payments from the account so now contacting visa over the matter.
The whole situation is escalating now to the point where there must be media intervention from newspapers and television.

That can be easily explained *if* it was a mirgration with a MAC code. In those the account stays open until confirmation comes through BT that it has been migrated and is with the new provider. If something goes wrong with that message then the system doesn't know it's gone through and keeps billing as normal.
Thats automated so there's nobody there checking it or telling the system to bill people, it's simply too much work.
Doesn't mean it's not their fault, just a possible reason of why it could be happening.
