After 7 days waiting for my MAC code, I finally complained for the first time in my whole life. My complaint went to the ISPA, after 12 long days I obtained my MAC and was able to migration over to BE
The migration went very efficiently, taking a total of 7 day with no problems at all (Well none BE:lol: ) with very fast upload and down load speed. Compared to Orange’s dismal speed of 2.5 .
I would recommend people to migrate over to BE, their customer service people our very knowledgeable and understand technical questions asked upon them, which you don’t find at Orange.
The only problem left is getting back my credit of 55 pounds, people any good ideas which may help in the process, please post.
Thanks for this website, I think that I would have gone mad and people please keep posting, I don’t think that I would have complained without the information supplied with on this site.
Kind Regards
Mark Devine ex-orange member
Hehe, glad you got it sorted, im moving to BE in June next year, when they enable my exchange, need to find a way out of the Orange contract first mind...
Thanks Mark, im going to try move as soon as Be get here, i've only heard good things about them, but the tricky thig is going to be getting out of the contract, and i dont want to start a contract with another isp then try and change AGAIN in June, so for now im going to have to stick with Orange.
And yeah, what kinda speeds are you getting? and how farfrom the exchange are you?
I am about 2.5km from the exchange which is a good distance and i am getting about 7.5 Mbps download and 1.1 Mbps upload , but this is also to do with bad internal wiring with my house due the distance my P.C is from the master socket.

When I moved to Zen, the switchover was, as far as I could tell, instantaneous. I did not notice that I couldn't connect. All that happened was that the evening before the switchover I was with Wanadoo and the evening of the switchover day I was with Zen. So, at most I was disconnected for a few hours.
No i never lost me connection whilst the migration went through, tell your dad that i think that Orange cap their speed down due to the contention with on their network.
From be* you would get good download and upload depending the distance and line from the exchange. Also tell your dad, go with someone else who can actual run a effictive broadband network.
