Despite Orange telling me i can have up to 8mb Im still stuck on 1.8mb thanks for ripping me off Orange. I am going to demand a MAC code and pay for the damn thing
Those stats are fine, shows you're on ADSL Max and sync'd at the full 8 meg. If it's within 10 days then it's likely the data profile is stuck on 2 meg still. After the first ADSL Max connection it can take upto 10 days (not working days) for the system to settle down. The speed may jump up at any point in that time, if it doesn't after those 10 days then there may be a problem somewhere.
Try running a speedtest through http://speedtester.BT.com and see what speed you get along with the data profile it says you're on.
Ah yes the speed is important but at this point the data profile is a much more vital piece of info. If yours is 7.15 meg (maximum) then something's wrong somewhere, on the otherhand if it's 2 meg then there's nothing technically wrong except the system setting the profile has set it very low for some reason. Either way make sure you're out of the 10 days before contacting Orange if you need to.
A MIRACLE Orange has phoned me back but dont get to excited............. But they said they couldnt resolve the talk service and the broadband they said I should be on 8mb already.
He said he would have to send it to the escalation dept so I said they already know about it. Then he said he will send it to the FSD dept. and there is NO TIME SCALE to get back to you. so I told him to put on my notes the customer will be cancelling his contract on the 17th due to failure of fulfilling their end of the contract.
They have also billed me from the 1st Dec even though my upgrade didnt go through until the 7th. So I told them to rectify my account
