We have cancelled our Orange Broadband package because of the very poor connection we were receiving - we did this back in August.
Until today we were able still use our wanadoo.co.uk e-mail address but for some reason as of today we can't use it - it says it doesn't recognise it. Is this because we no longer have a wanadoo account. My fsmail account still works though.
Has anyone any ideas on how and if we can access our e-mail

yes me too since a few days ago i used to check for any mail that i forgot to give my new address too last time i looked therewas over 1000 spam emails in there nothing new there.

August till now is 3 months, which just happens to co-incide with the 90 day time limit Pay As You Go accounts last without someone dialing upto it before it suspends. Broadband accounts become pay as you go dialup accounts when they're closed so the email address still works.
Just follow the link below and you can activate it again, lasts for 90 days each time.
