Until the major outage problem in October (where there were 60,000 subscribers lost the internet) there was a good service. However since then, I am unable to get any connection at around 8pm onwards during the week. The computer is unable to pick up Livebox but sometimes picks up a neighbours router. The connection is fine in the morning and during the day. This also happens more frequently on the weekends. Has any one else had any problems?
I am keeping a log this week so I can complain to Orange.

Hi Rich,
Have you tried different wireless channels on the livebox?
Won't work if the connection turns off at set times, he needs to check what the @ light is doing at those times if its solid he needs to check for interference like cordless phones and stuff like that

I presume that when you say The computer is unable to pick up Livebox but sometimes picks up a neighbours router. you are connecting to the Livebox wirelessly ?
If this is the case and the problems occur at specific times as you suggest it points to one of several things, (1) electrical interference ie central heating system etc. (2) radio interference, (3) neighbours router emitting a stronger signal than yours, or your computer being closer ( through the wall ) to their router than yours, especialy if you are both on the same channel.
The computer is unable to pick up Livebox but sometimes picks up a neighbours router.
Due to the above connecting to you neighbours router, I would think (3) is the one. You are getting the problem when people at home are using the web, evenings and weekends. Do you find weekday mornings afternoons ok, but get problems weekend mornings afternoon and evening ?
The next time it happens try a couple of things ( I'm presumimg you are using a PC not a laptop) (a) try to move the livebox closer to the computer to improve the signal, try to avoid things like TV, fridge, thick walls, being between them, (b) try connecting by ethernet cable, (c) try changing channels.
If you know which neighbours router you are connecting to when you are having problems see if they will switch off their computer to see if that is the problem.
