I want to use another smtp mail server because I'm having problems sending mails to some addresses using the Orange server.
I'm not really interested whose fault it is that I can't send messages, Orange or the receiving server. I recall I had no problems when using BT.
I notice from previous messages that the Orange system does not let you use another mail server. Either let me use another server or please ensure that your smtp servers let me send mail to who ever I want.
If you can't fix your problems or can't let me use my own server then please tell me how I migrate to a new ISP.
You can't have it both ways, either make your system work or let me use my own server.
You can use any other SMTP server... however it has to be on an alternate port instead of the default of 25 otherwise it's automatically caught by Orange.
I appreciate that BUT all commercial mail servers that I have come across are on PORT 25. I do not have the money to buy a dedicated mail server for myself that I can configure to a port that is not port 25.
Do you know of any other commercial smtp server that is not on port 25? Please let me know.
AGAIN, please fix your problems, so that I can receive the service that I am paying for and you are not providing at the moment OR let me use another standard mail server on port 25 (yes, switch off this ridiculous Orange port 25 capture nonsense, which I have never come across before) OR tell me how I can migrate my services to another ISP without Orange causing me hassle and inconvenience.
Nope it doesn't, it's not something I can answer and you're not likely to get anyone from Orange who can answer that or effect that sort of change on here, unfortuantly.
I don't feel that that stock answer addresses any of the questions raised.

I presume you have spoken to Orange themselves about your problem ?
If so what was their suggestion?
If it does not answer your question you will have to do further research your selves, as we all have to do at times, on the many other websites / forums. I'm sure you will find a solution on one of them.

Simply get in touch with Orange for your MAC code or do a cease and re-provide!

I would like this option too. My website host has an SMTP server but I can only connect to it on port 25. With Orange everything on port 25 goes through the dreaded overactive spam filter, so if my emails contain blacklisted words (charity, lottery are two I know for sure) I get "error 550, message content rejected".
