From my personal off-time research, I think the best option would be to forward a copy of any of your blocked emails exactly after removing the body to abuse@orange.co.uk . Remember to leave all other information intact...try and copy paste all details. I can also suggest this link to try and understand the problem or possible problem... See if that helps..
Anyone doing the above will find it will be a complete waste of their time and effort.
Why?
Quite simply Wannadoo/Orange (same company different name!) have known about the problemfor over 2 years !
What have they done about it?
As usual, nothing, they have just sat on their hands, denying to all and sundry that there is a problem, and hoping it will it will go away of it's own accord, ( like they do with LLu and other problems).
Has it gone away? nope it's getting worse by the month.
They are now reaping the results of their ineptitude.
I wonder what it costs in server time and space to process all this c**p, time and space that could be put to better use ?

Hi 1Step Back and others.
It's difficult for me to comment on the same because it's too big a problem to be tackled by one person or for so many sufferers. What would you suggest I do??
If you can give me some kind of ideas or solutions that you think may need to be conveyed to the "machinery", please let me know. I will try and convey that to the correct tech sources and try and get them to attend to that, but try and not make it some very hard course of action... Any suggestions would be fine!
Just signing into this thread again as I know it's not worth contacting Orange, and they claim to monitor this forum. I'm even being bounced from Hotmail now, as I said in my original post how come this problem seems most common on Orange?
IT IS UP TO Orange TO SORT THIS PROBLEM. ANY OTHER SUGGESTION OR PLACING OF BLAME IS INCORRECT. THEY HAVE ALLOWED THEIR SERVERS TO GAIN NO BETTER REPUTATION THAN A RUSSIAN FILTH-SITE.
How much bother have people had in changing their ISP? as I'm paying for a service including email that simply isn't being provided. The time is coming to ditch this unhelpful & lax company.
...Just had to get that off my chest.
Cheers,
Poop.

Hi again Poop and all,
I jumped ship and started with a new ISP on 02-10-06.
"How much bother have people had in changing their ISP?"
Not much actually, no broadband for approx. 14 days in total during the changeover ( I did a cease to get rid of Orange in one fell swoop) the timespan was neither here nor there with me though because of c**p connections for 6 months and none at all over the last 2 months, therefore I had everything to look forward to.
Dialup, library and friends, family, computers allowed me to do what I needed in the interim.
I had the same problem with emails to friends taking part in forums etc. to do with my hobbies. These were contacts going back 8 years to the early Freeserve days. At first I thought I was being blocked due to the number of spam mails I was getting and the problem being my actual email address.
I knew of a friend who had an old Freeserve address that he only kept open for emergencies, ie he sends himself an email once every 90 days, and therefore has not had any spam mail to date. I tried using his address to email the friends , and the forums, guess what? yes the Orange servers blocked not his email address!
Therefore this proves that the problem is not that of the individual but down to Orange.
I now have no problem whatsoever with my present ISP.
I still check my Freeserve address's via Orange web mail to keep an eye out for anyone who I have not forewarded my new address to.
Since signing up with my new ISP I have just dumped all the c**p spam in to the delete folder and left them there, (rather than emptying the folder) to date there are 855 spam emails in there!!! approx 10% of the 100 meg allowance.
I have no intention of emptying the folder, I'll keep it just under the 100meg. Better filling up Oranges harddrives than mine
If everyone did this it may not solve the problem but at least Orange would have to store far more data than they would normally. And storing data costs money.
a few days ago at great expense! (only had the premium rate number from the website and was not told the local rate one until the end of the call!) i was told to change my pop and stmp to orangehome from wanadoo. i was told this would fix the problem. I cannot send e mails to my work address (spamcop) and now EVERYTHING i send to hotmail or msn is getting returned. if i used a web based e mail like google mail (from my regular computer?) would i still get this problem? if i did that would i have to stop using outlook? (all my contacts are in outlook, can i transfer them?) this was not happening before.

yes - that is correct. if you use webmail like Google Mail you will be able to send mail , as that would be using Googles outgoing SMTP mail servers.
The change your POP/SMTP to Wanadoo solution is only a temporary one, because that'll end up being blacklisted sooner or later, because Orange/Wanadoo are not doing enough to prevent spam on their network.
