I agree.....It's just annoying when you get in touch with Orange UK and they refer you back to Orange FR....Like a naughty child speaking out of turn!!!!!!
I can understand that but apart from basic setup there's not a great deal they can help with for that. Plus a slightly different livebox, that'd confuse a bunch of them. Orange uk and france have different systems so no checking accounts, lines or anything like that.
I know it's the done thing nowadays to "knock" large companies but Orange/Wanadoo here in France are pretty good. The swap from Dial-up took 24hrs after registration and the package is a "reasonable" price. As long as you don't install the complete software, a bit like AOL gets everywhere and a bugger to remove, there's no problem.

I agree boghound i recently saw a programme on tv on broadband and they showed the difference between ours and in France and it was amazing how advanced France broadband is and faster easily a few years ahead of us.

Yeah France and a lot of other countries are well ahead of us in terms of broadband tech. Doesn't harm Orange that they're so close to France Telecom either.
Yes...Orange/Wanadoo is owned by French Telecom which controls everything but hardly ever goes "down". They take a pride in their work. The only trouble is, when contacting them they speak French and some of the tech terms can be difficult to understand.
