Does anyone know if there's a way to turn off the SSID broadcast on the livebox?

You can rename it but you can't turn it off.

Configuration > Advanced > Wireless

I have mine switched off for security but you would have thought they wuld have included that option in the liveboxes.

Security through obscurity only deters the most basic of hackers. Anyone who really wants in would get a bit of software to get around the SSID masking problem.

Yeah most do, the livebox is pretty old in hardware terms now though. You never know maybe the livebox 2 will have the option whenever they decide to make a new one.
