OK, so two months ago when I moved house I resolved to leave Orange because I was on an expensive package and knew I could get the same thing cheaper somewhere else. When I called to cancel the person at Orange offered me the Wireless and Talk package with no usage limit for £17.99 a month. Great, so I signed up.
Now just try getting a Livebox out of them! I have been waiting ages. They sent the first one to the wrong address, an address that didn't exist, so when I phoned up they told me the box was in Birmingham (I live in South London). Then they said they'd send a new one but refused to send it to my work address even though I said nobody would be in to sign for it, and they don't deliver on saturdays. OK, I thought, I'll just have to pick it up from a local depot. How wrong. They have now supposedly sent Three of these things, none of which have been picked up by me. The last one was signed for by someone but no card was left for me to say who it was left with. Between Parcelforce and Orange there has been a monumental balls-up.
I've asked for a refund for the last two months of lost service. I hold out little hope.
Sounds like the problem lies with Parcelforce, not Orange. They've sent Three after all so at least they're trying to sort out your problem.
If Parcelforce have attempted delivery but not left a card then that's their fault, not Orange's. Orange should be able to tell you the reference number soyou can collect it or arrange it be sent to an alternative address.
And although you don't have your Livebox you can still use the internet with your old modem, just not the Talk service.
Fair enough, but I'm paying for a wireless and talk service and not getting it! Imagine if I tried witholding payment for two months and we'll see how happ Orange would be.
Anyway, update: the reason Parcelforce haven't left a card is that Orange didn't tell the distributor that they had got my address wrong in the first place so even though I made sure that Orange had my correct address they have been re-ordering Livebox's for me and the distributor just keeps sending them to an address that doesn't exist. It's just sheer incompetence and it drives me mad because it's so easy to avoid. I'll see how it goes. I've been promised a Livebox this week so if it doesn't arrive I'm just cancelling and going to a more reliable ISP. They were a lot better when they were Wanadoo.
