i have been with them since the days of freeserve broadband. i had problems with disconnections, but it was ok, i could live with it.
however, in the last 3 days Orange has been kind enough to totally balls up my connection following their much heralded 8meg rubbish. spent about 4 hours on the phone to morons in india. how many line tests have i had.....?????
luckly i had read this forum and put them right - saying that my new ISP (IDNET - who i spoke to this morning) can use it.
gutted, the operator then passes me over to a woman who tried her hardest to convince me to stay.
no chance.
i am told that my MAC number is in the post. wonder if it will every appear.
I have already threatened them with legal action via the smal claims court to recoup the cash i have wasted trying to solve what is apparently an unsolvable problem.
They help people when ISP s are giving them a hard time.
They are only allowed to take 5 days to issue a MAC code, get back onto them and insist they give it to you.
In my case I got fed up with the lies and excuses so just cancelled my account and waited for 10 dyas to get the LLU taken off.
I joined Idnet and they are absolutley 100% fantastic.

do you think they will pay up?
terrible, who else should i complain to?
Orange are NOT the only LLU users, though it is highly likely they are the only RUBBISH LLU users
Don't be so sure a MAC will solve your problems... I got Three of them from Orange, and ALL were duds - wasting another 2 weeks
Good Luck with the legal action, sadly ,might Be Broadband is small print where they can get away with an outage if the end results is them giving you a better service (in the end).
Moan to customer care - those who tried to convince you to stay - not to be confused with Customer or tech support who are useless. They may agree to compensate you.
I have a verbal agreement to get my calls & new activation charge refunded because I had to cancel my account due to the MACs they supplied not working - only time wil tell...
Can try complaining to ISPA, they may be able to help you getting something back (though don't bet on it)
Can count yourself lucky you have an option to quit this magpie of a company...and not tied down by any 12 month + phone contract like some other poor souls in this forum.
That in itself is (sadly) worth something
...oh and I hate Orange too ...
have even come up with a (bad acronym)
O rganisationally
R etarded
A nd
N o
G ood
E ither
just been on the phone and i have told them to get an engineer out. they say i will have to pay if there is no fault - i was told there was a fault 2 weeks ago.
these people really are b@stards.
as far as i can see no attempt has been made to fix my problem.
