I have just been on the member centre, under the change speed option and you can pay £20 and get upgraded now. Or it says Orange will upgrade you for free sometime within the next 6 months.
just paid the £20, as much I feel a little cheated (as they wont say if I would get it free next week or in 6 months for example) I'd rather pay and have the faster speed within a few days.
As it's still through BT I don't expect to have too many problems (unlike Wanadoo LLU)

Yesterday the speed upgrade page (on the Orange portal)said I could get 4.5meg (Pay £20 upgrade or wait up to 6 months for free), adsl max, today it say's I can only get 2meg, the service I am on now. Anyone else found this ?
Hmmm I'm already on Broadband Max but in a non-LLU area hence I'm only on 2Meg. How do I know if Orange ADSL Max is available? Is it everywhere or just where BT supply that to Orange? My local exchange is ADSL Max enabled according to http://www.samknows.com/. I don't know if that's just for BT Broadband people or anyone who has ADSL. Any ideas anyone?
Here is a thing for call centre staff.
'We'll launch IPSM to approximately 2000 customers at the begriming of September. From October all new customers will be put on IPSM (IP STREAM MAX) if it's available to them if they're not in an LLU area. In November we'll then begin to upgrade all of our existing 2 meg customers on to IPSM '
The guinea pigs should have been already offered ADSL Max rather than requesting it.
Maybe they're limiting the migrations in order to prevent larger scale problems cropping up or it could have been an error where it's gone off today or that yesterday it was up when it shouldn't have been.

they have not emailed me at all, in my account center clicking upgrade takes me to a page saying they are already processing a request (so it's in their system)
