Hello all
I am completely aware of the spamming but due to the huge number that are being posted, it is almost impossible to keep up with the deletion of the offending posts.
Registration will now have to be passed by myself, admin, before newly registered users are allowed to post on the forum. Hopefully this will stem the flow of offensive posts.
As Borednow said above, we are being hit by a persistent prolonged attack. We are investigating this.

Perhaps you should backdate that to 01/01/11 which is when the spammers began registering in earnest.
The usernames are easily identified......just terminate their existence.

I guess Admin's dilemma is the balance between how much time he devotes to say moderating an initial post or two, and terminating the spammers after the event.
From conversations with a friend who is a moderator on a Yahoo Group, there is no easy answer.

Hi Guys!!!
So, we have had MAJOR problems with spammers... An anormous amount of them! In fact, as some will be aware, the site had to close for a while as it was putting an enormous strain on our servers and the few dedicated people moderatoing the posts - it all became just a little too much! But we're back, and have been back for a while now...
We are still working our way through the spammers, however, let me reassure everyone..
There are secure systems in place to prevent any malicious code being put on this site and infecting another member's computer. We have always had many functions disabled to prevent these types of attacks from ever happening.
New registrations are still being authorised manually! This takes tie, but at the moment, the turn-around time for accepting new registrations is approximately 24 hours.
The site is being monitored on a regular basis, so all PMs and emails WILL be responded to.
Thank you for your ongoing support. Many members have been able to resolve their Orange problems with the assistance of many of our users dedicating their free time...
