I am using the Windows 7 operating system and I am using it's Windows Live Mail facility to send/receive Orange emails.
However, although I am receiving emails, I CANNOT send any. When I try to send an email the following error message comes up:
- The connection to server has failed
- Subject (this is the subject of the email I am trying to send)
- Server 'smtp.orangehome.co.uk'
- Windows Live Mail Error ID: 0x800CCC0E
- Protocol: smtp
- Port 25
- Secure (SSL): (as directed by Orange, I have not selected this)
- Socket Error: 10060
I can confirm that I have set up my email account as directed by Orange as follows:
- Email address: myname@myword.orangehome.co.uk (which is the one
that I have always used)
- Incoming mail server: POP3
- Incoming Mail (POP3): pop.orangehome.co.uk with Port 110
- Outgoing Mail (SMTP): smtp.orangehome.co.uk with Port 25
