cant game online! live in a small somewhat seculded village but my mates who live here get amazing speeds. rang Orange atleast 40 times blah blah blah we'll send you a new router, even though i replaced that piece of sh*t livebox anyway. told me to book a engineer, told me to ring back in the morning as they were unavailable blah blah blah, do they actually fix the problem or am i wasting my time and should i switch to Talk Talk or something?
Is that just a rant or do you want any help to resolve the problem ?

If you want help then the least you can do is post your router's stats.
It probably was just a rant yes, but there was a question in that rant. Do they ever fix it? Is it worth stressing over it or should I just switch and who would be the bes to switch too.
couldn't agree more. avoid them at any cost. it's been 3 months that we've had speeds of 0.3Mb/s. We've called them on about 20-25 occasions and they've done nothing. we've made formal complaints and then complaints about the people handling our complaints who say they will call back but don't. it seems that you have to have wait nearly a year before the ombudsman can do anything, which is kind of obtuse in itself.
