Since I've moved out to Essex from London, I've been experiencing extremely high latency when playing World of Warcraft, and when downloading files from particular hosts (I'm not talking p2p here, rather direct download). This happens particularly, but not exclusively in the evenings. However speed tests (at any time of day) seem to indicate my connection speed is totally fine. Any help/advice would be much appreciated.
SPEED TEST (typical result from early evening. I pass the first test every time):
Download speedachieved during the test was - 3452 Kbps
For your connection, the acceptable range of speeds is 600-7150 Kbps.
Additional Information:
Your DSL Connection Rate :5664 Kbps(DOWN-STREAM), 448 Kbps(UP-STREAM)
IP Profile for your line is - 4500 Kbps
TRACEROUTE (may or may not be useful, but a here's a traceroute to the World of Warcraft servers. There are occasional values over 100 when I try it, but they seem to be random, and fairly rare)

Hey! I have the same latency problems as you do, major latency from roughly 6 -11 every night. I ran a BT Speedtest tonight, as I spoke to the Orange Tech Department again today, but this time to someone new so he wanted to see a speedtest and I get the same result.
The Orange guy said to me that I am not being throttled at all. And yet the only thing that makes sense to me is that I am being throttled (i.e that WoW packets are being thought of as P2P traffic). I did a test tonight and ran a wow patch torrent through uTorrent. At 8:30 I was getting 5k/s on uTorrent. Now I'm getting 850k/s...Quite a difference
Btw...are you on sylvanas??? I run all my tracerts to that IP.

You're mainly suffering severe congestion during peak times. This is , unfortunately , extremely common for anyone using BT's IPStream service like yourself.
The only solution is to find an LLU ISP , ie with their own equipment in your local exchange.
