Hello All,
I live in the Isle of Thanet, Westgate on Sea to be precise. For many months now, the network has suffered serious outages, causing lack of or no reception in the surrounding areas, including, Birchington, Manston, Garlinge, Westbrook and many more.
Most of my family and friends are on Orange, most of them have been in touch with Orange and have all been given a huge variation of responses from Customer Services - ranging from, "there are no problems with our network" to "it must be your phone", but the most common answer is, "we are having problems with transmitters, somewhere between 2 and 5 masts are down surrounding the Thanet area.
Most of us are self employed and rely on the networks to be functioning 100%, all of the time.
What i would like to know is, will this reflect on my next bill? - i know the answer to that!
If this page is monitored by Orange CS, then how about a true statement regarding the Orange network?
Infact, as of roughly 10.30am today (23/08/2010) the entire network crashed and came back online at around 4.30pm.
Most people are paying £25 - £35 a month for use of a partially working network.
I attempted to leave Orange 18 months ago, as they would not do me the phone i wanted, by they did give a great deal to prevent me leaving, but as the network is abismal and my contract is up, i will seriously think about taking my hard earned elsewhere!
So, come on Orange, the truth please, what is the score with your failing network for us here in sunny ol' Thanet!????
Regards
Mark
more than 20 years with Orange!
In Westgate on Sea itself there are no logged issues, however towards Margate we are experiencing issues. Unfortunately we have no estimated repair date at this time, however we are doing all we can to restore service.
