I recently baught a new desktop with windows 7, and after around 30-60 mins it will drop the connection to the internet, and internet repair diagnosic claims it is a problem with the router. It will regain connection if i reboot the livebox, but this is a seriously annoying problem. Is there anything i can do/change with either my connection or the livebox to stop this happening?
Well, First of all, You have to make sure the options of energy management are disabled for your ethernet card.
Windows + Break > Device Manager> Network Adapters> ethernet card> properties> tab power management and everything off.
This should solve your problem until a certified driver Windows 7 for your exact model of card.
