My father has forgotten his passsword to his email address and his reminder question answer. He s expecting some important mail regarding a booking and will need the reference number.
He is able to verify all of his details emails received, emails sent etc but we cannot get anyone to understand the issue on the Orange call centre can someone help please?

You could try emailing them giving them the name, phone number, postcode and date of birth you put in when you set up the account and saying you give permission for Orange to communicate about the account to person x - give person x's name and email address.
However, I have found that Orange will use just about any excuse not to actually deal with emails to them: they might say the Data Protection Act prevents them talking to you about the account. Even if you get over that hurdle they do seem unable to understand the simplest of problems. Just an excuse for sending you a quick email rather than actually investigating the problem I suspect. So you might find it's a struggle.
If that fails ringing them is sometimes better 0844 412 2202. Though when you ring they sometimes say 'send us an email about the problem' and when you've exchanged several fruitless emails what do they suggest you do? Ring them...
If you are also an Orange Broadband customer, as we are, this sometimes makes them more willing to help. But if your Broadband account is registered to someone other than you, and/or your broadband account is registered to a diffenet phone number from the one in your fsnet account, be careful as they'll say they can't talk to the broadband account holder about the fsnet account and vice verca. They do make it difficult!
But it seems you've tried ringing and not had any luck: what did they say when you told them you had forgotten your password?
