Orage emails
Over 36 hours now and I keep getting my Log In box, then this message.

There was a problem logging onto your mail server. Your Password was rejected. Account: 'pop.freeserve.com (1)', Server: 'pop.freeserve.com', Protocol: POP3, Server Response: '-ERR [AUTH] Invalid login/password pair', Port: 110, Secure(SSL): No, Server Error: 0x800CCC90, Error Number: 0x800CCC92

I can send emails and have checked they have arrived, all fine there, but nothing coming in.
Really annoyed now, if I can send emails out then surely my Log in details are correct.
I`m not very technical minded at all , so any advice please, Keith has already told me there is probably a problem their end, but how long do I have to wait for this to be sorted.

Still no joy up till last night, so I phoned Orange.
Up till then I had been told ` we are very busy` so thought there may have been a problem.
Anyway , I was talked though creating a new email account.
It worked instantly.
The old one was `fsnet.co` this new one is `orange`.
Why should it have stopped working for me.

Not true. The SMTP server doesn't authenticate your email address and password.

Looks like your account's been deleted as you didn't dial in.

I've had the same problem as anedw for 2 or 3 days now. I've tried restoring my account in case that was the problem but still no joy.

If you're watching this thread anedw, has the problem been resolved for you?

I'm the same, been unable to receive or login for 2 days now.

Rang Orange this morning and they tried logging in with a test account or something. Said there's some sort of problem and they'd get tech people to fix by afternoon.

still not working.

Have emailed them, from the account I can't log in to asking what's going on.

Hi peeps, I have the same problem anedw reported. Been unable to access this email since last Thursday and I can still send like anedw.

I read in another thread that Orange were deleting these old accounts, is this true?

I can't get into this account at all and if it's deleted I'd just like to know Sad

Deleting accounts with no warning is really poor show. I know they automatically cut you off if didn't dial in every now and then and used to do that regular but can't seem to dial in anymore.

What's your SMTP server? Not 0range's I'm guessing. That's why you can send emails, even if your account isn't active.

Have you tried restoring your account?

Didn't realise had to do the restore. Unfortunately didn't work because I'd long gone past the required 260 days.

Rang this morning, spoke with a helpful lass from India who restored it for me and said I had to do this once every 219 days.

Whoever I spoke with last Thursday must not have realised my account was suspended!
