Can anyone help, I'am suppost to get 3mbps but it has gone down to just under 2 now, really slow, Everytime I turn my livebox off and back on the speed goes back up, can anyone help me please. Thank You
Possibly but not with the amount of information that you've posted so far.
Can you get your router's stats ?
Are you on LLU or IPStream ?
Is the router plugged into the main <a href="http://btbb.at/theside?LID=21">BT</a> socket ?
How many extensions do you have ?
Are they wired off the faceplate of the main <a href="http://btbb.at/theside?LID=21">BT</a> socket ?
Hi, It is wired into main socket, I have no extensions just a adsl filter for my home phone and Sky tv.
Im on IPStream I think.
Here is my router stats : (As you can see my speed looks alright at moment but when I do a speed test I get 1.8MBPS, It says this on my router stats cause I have turned my livebox off and then back on.
Make sure the Sky box is filtered, if it is then double filter it.
Also just to test, disconnect the phone and Sky box, if you have an NTE5 main BT socket (lower half frontplate unscrews) then plug a filter with just the router into the test socket (if not then just use the external main socket with no phone or Sky) which is behind the frontplate then run www.speedtester.BT.com and post the results back here.
Download speedachieved during the test was - 3265 Kbps
For your connection, the acceptable range of speeds is 600-7150 Kbps.
Additional Information:
Your DSL Connection Rate :4128 Kbps(DOWN-STREAM), 448 Kbps(UP-STREAM)
IP Profile for your line is - 3500 Kbps
Well that looks OK, the IP Profile is in line with the sync. and your download speed of 3265kbps is also in line with sync and IP Profile.
So, was that taken from the test socket or the external socket ?
What you need to do now is work back, if it was from the test socket take another BT speedtest from the main external socket, if that's OK then add the Sky box and check again etc etc

That was from the external socket socket, Okay I will do that.
