Ok, I've never seen this before, Once a new email arrives on the Orangehome server it appears to go into an Unread folder, when its opened in Webmail its then moved to inbox, The problem here is, that unless the email is in inbox Outlook can't download it, Meaning I can't get any new emails unles opened in webmail first which is rather pointless.
I phoned Orange who really didn't have a clue, any ideas?
Hi I also have had a problem over the last few days in that when i login to Orange Webmail my newest mail is the 24th Feb. If i access mail via web2mail all the email is there. Just seems to be a problem with Orange's own webmail!!
Similar problems here - suddenly a few days ago when I logged into my account, the most recent emails showing in my inbox were from 22 October 2008! Major problem for me as I receive and submit work through this email address. I can send emails ok, and emails are hitting my Spam folder fine and up-to-date, just inbox that is a problem. Tried from work computer and my daughter's laptop with same result, so know its not my computer that's the problem.
Have just called Orange, who say that they are getting a number of calls reporting this problem and that their technicians are working on it. I was advised to go to web2mail and log on via there. Have done so, and can see an up-to-date list of alll my emails, but when I try to open any of them I get a message saying "incorrect user name and/or password". Aaaargghhh!!! Very frustrating.
Have lost income because of this problem, and will be insisting on a refund of my Orange broadband bill ths month as a result.

Webmail only lets you see 1000 emails in a folder as per the quotas specified in their help.....Do a bit of spring cleaning on your account and you should the later emails appearing.
Many thanks for your response, Subly. I'm aware of the limits on how many emails can be displayed, but usually the 1,000 visible are the most recent 1,000 and deleting some makes some of the older ones appear, not the other way around. I tried deleting some to see if it would help, but all that happens is that even older emails are displayed at the back end, nothing newer.
It seems unlikely that, having reached a certain limit, my inbox has removed all recently received emails and gone back to an arbitrary date in 2008! I've had this email account for over a decade and have never seen this problem before, despite usually having well over 1,000 emails in my inbox. On the phone earlier Orange acknowledged that a number of people are experiencing this problem and that their people are working on it, so I think the problem lies there.
Thanks imtheboss, just logged in and tried that, but it seems that they are already in descending order: sorting by date just puts even older ones first!!
Some good news - got to my account via mail2web and this time it allowed me to open individual emails, so have been able to access some important things - whew!
If you reach 1000 emails in your Inbox, you'll need to delete or move emails to your personalised folders before you'll be able to receive any more emails. (Total space allowance permitting).
Thanks 127.0.0.1 - nothing like the human touch, eh?
As I tried to explain earlier in this thread, this is NOT a case of my having reached a limit and then receiving no new emails after that point. Recent emails that were in my inbox a few days ago have simply disappeared when I access my account via Orange. Thankfully, accessing via mail2web they are all present and up-to-date, with new ones arriving as they should.
If the problem was to do with the number of emails in my inbox, I'm sure the person I spoke to at Orange earlier wouldn't have responded as she did, acknowledging that there are problems, and pointing me to mail2web as an alternative way to get my recent and current emails.
For anyone experiencing similar problems (balauchrach, sounds like you are!) go to www.mail2web.com and use your usual email address and password to login - you should be able to see your emails, not just a selection from a random date in the past going backwards.
