Hi my connection speeds seem to be very slow as off late, Can anyone help?
Download speedachieved during the test was - 1506 Kbps
For your connection, the acceptable range of speeds is 400-2000 Kbps.
Additional Information:
Your DSL Connection Rate :2720 Kbps(DOWN-STREAM), 64 Kbps(UP-STREAM)
IP Profile for your line is - 2000 Kbps
Well the relationship between IP Profile and DSL Connection Rate is OK on the download but the upload of 64kbps is weird.
Also the throughput is slightly down on what it should be. If you have a NTE5 main BT socket (unscrewable lower half faceplate) plug the router into the test socket behind the faceplate.
Then post the router's stats and BT speedtest results from the test socket.
Download speedachieved during the test was - 1625 Kbps
For your connection, the acceptable range of speeds is 400-2000 Kbps.
Additional Information:
Your DSL Connection Rate :2880 Kbps(DOWN-STREAM), 64 Kbps(UP-STREAM)
IP Profile for your line is - 2000 Kbps
Test from Test socket.
Up stream still looks wrong
Whats the quickest way to get router specs, Its a wireless live box (wanandoo)
OK, I'm guessing now but I think you have a massive noise problem affecting the upstream frequencies, that is from Tones 1 to 32 (4.3125kHz to 138kHz)
First try a new ADSL filter and test from the test socket.
If still the same, unplug everything from the phone system and plug just an analogue corded phone into the test socket, dial 17070 select option 2 and listen for any noise whatsoever.....even the slightest hiss.
If there is any level of noise then report it as a voice fault and do not mention a broadband problem.
If it's absolutely silent then there is something like an electric motor or pump causing interference......have you or a close neighbour installed anything new recently ?
It could be a similar item beginning to breakdown. Are you near a farm or industrial estate ?
One thing I forgot to say is that your downstream data is perfectly OK if the 63.5dB attenuation is correct......you are a long way from your local exchange so a sync of around 3000kbps is as good as you'll get.
Yeah I'm am a fair bit away from the exchange, Live about a mile from a factory, Yeah I'm used to not having the very best speed, I just noticed that connection is really struggling with online gaming and never used 2 and sharing connection with 2 pc it seems 2 struggle.
Well changed filters and tested in tested in test socket, rang BT and informed me that there no fault on line Copper Test and another test that I didn't catch.
What I'm now at.....
