ok 5.30pm back on again. that's about 36hrs. i didn't even bother phoning. no i didn't contact the Orange guy, i don't see how he can do anything about lines being down. it's not a pc problem, it's Orange servers. i spent the afternoon looking at other isps. i suppose up here BT is our safest bet, but not cheap. very few isps with only monthly contracts either. however nothing can be as bad as suddenly losing your internet connection for more than a day. that's more or less a day's cut off every week since this problem began.
Yes my connection was lost in Forres this afternoon as well. Just managed to log back in again. Surely the maintenance cannot still be ongoing from the Feb/Mar outages.
I contacted the guy who posted earlier (Johnathan), but it was a waste of time. An engineer phoned a few days after my email, but he didn't tell me anything that I hadn't been told before... that there had been problems
