See if you can authenticate without the '@fs' at the end of your username.
If you can you're on LLU.
Ok - gimme a sec, I'l try...
Edit: Ok, definitely couldn't connect without the @fs on my username. So what does this mean (sorry for not being properly informed!).
I thought all the up to 8meg BB packages were LLU these days... obviously not in this case... Is LLU the "up to 24meg" packages that are being advertised..? My exchange doesn't support that yet.
FUP applies to LLU....I think it's if you download more than 5GB during peak hours (17.30 to 24.00) in a month, you're reduced to 0.5MB altho I don't believe this is put in writing.
On IPStream Orange are now able to manipulate an individual's connection how they wish........Google "BT eusc document"
Note: If anyone wants to know the details of the throttling, the behaviour I see here is as follows:
Generally, my connection on full speed runs about 870Kb/s.
During peak times, if I start a single download, I get the full 870Kb/s for about Three seconds, at which point the d/l speed halves to around 420Kb/s. It stays at half speed for about 30 seconds, and if the download still continues, the speed halves again (now a quarter of the line speed) to about 200Kb/s, where it seems to stay.
