Just a quick question as i cannnot seem to find an answer to it anywhere!
I have an old BT internet email address and have recently swiched to Orange as my ISP but for some reason i cannot get outlook to receive any emails from BT!?
i though it might be the SMTP settings but cannot find which ones to use?
Sorry was typing quickly, i'll go into more detail to try and be more clear.
My father has a BT internet email account and has had it for years but has now moved to ornage as his ISP from BT.
The problem is sending, the client being used is Outlook 2010 beta which worked fine under BT internet but since changing ISP to Orange the account doesn't work.
i have tried the following:-
pop3 :- mail.btinternet.com (this i have not changed as it the receiving account)
smtp:- this i have tried the standard mail.btinternet.com and smtp.orangehome.co.uk but neither works.
Orange has been contacted to see if they block any addresses and they have asked that the sending account is deleted but they didn't know how to do it and i've never been advised to do that so i'm not sure either.
