Joined a few weeks ago, first 10 days speed went up and down as normal with line testing or whatever, recieved fairly decent speeds of around 4.5mb which is what they predicted, then the speed dropped to 1mb and has been like that for at least a week now, its the same every time so i assume this speed has been set at the exchange by Orange?
Is there any way of getting Orange to fix this without dealing with the hopeless people at the callcenters who read off useless information from their screens.
The guys on this forum seem to be much more helpful
Can you suggest my best way of getting this sorted?

This does seem to be a very common event. It took me 4weeks at 1meg before things improved & the technician I spoke with didn't seem to think this was so unusual.
You can keep calling support for what good that'll do or be patient or get your MAC code.
I was patient & it worked OK for me, although I did write to the Customer Care manager to vent my annoyance.
