I tried to log into my e-mail about an hour ago but got a invalid user name password page, so I double checked for typo errors in the address but still could not log in. I rang up Orange and checked the status update nothing about e-mail problems so proceeded with the option to speak to a member of the technical team.
My call was answered 10 minutes later and I explained the problem, he told me that they have a problem with this. I asked him why could it not be put onto the Service update information and he replied it only happened just before your call. I knew this was untrue because I had been trying for at least half an hour prior to the call.
I asked him to tell me the truth how long the issue had been on going and he replied 'ok it was first reported 2 hours ago I'm sorry.' That would have been at 7.50 pm GMT time, I then asked him why could it not have been put on the service update because the latest update concerning another problem was a recorded message at 8 p.m. GMT time.
I also told him that the customers were paying for the telephone calls and this was very unfair to the customers, I ended the call by telling him thankyou for telling the truth and bid him a good evening.
This is just typical Orange tactics not telling the truth to the long suffering Orange customers. I'm not in a contract with Orange anymore so I'm looking for another provider. I have had enough of the terrible service they provide and the lies they tell you, thankyou Orange for your honesty over the years time to say goodbye.
As per previous post I think I phoned about 7:30 and they knew it was a problem then!! Its a shambles. I gave up on Orange as ISP in August after signing new contract only to be told 3 weeks later "they couldnt afford" the contract offered so wanted to increase monthly subscription by £12pm??! As this was breach of contract I left for free and went to post office. Have to say they have been fantastic (touch wood) and did the bundle phone and bb package. Because I was with Orange / wanadoo for 8 years I have kept the email address - but after tonight Im thinking off turning that off too.

This is just proof that they tell lies to the customers why? why? why? They have lost me as a customer have been for over 5 years now.How many more would leave if they were not tied into a contract?
yeah i have tried mine today and geuss what i can't access my email acount iether or my broadband acount so i phoned and just got a load of crap as well.
eventuly i got into it and read and sorted some post out this was at 2.30 pm gmt time and tried again at 8.00 pm and now still can't get back in to my e-mail acount or bb acount what the hell are these idiots playing at!!!!!
me too - last able to log in to my webmail yesterday lunch time. Sent email asking why (as refuse to pay premium rate number to call them), they replied this morning with an auto response saying could take up to 5 days. So fed up with this happening - useless!
Yeah I can get into Outlook express but I use my webmail for spam/junk and as we all know a lot of "wanted" mail ends up there, so have to check it every day. I guess I will have to try again later.
have just tried again and have been able to log in to my email account...hopefully it has now been sorted.
Discovered this website this morning having had email problems since yesterday evening. grandson could sign in on 'fsmail.net' but not me on 'freeserve'. Saw last input and retried now in. Did phone Orange, went thru recorded messages until eventually heard message stating they were having email problems. Could Orange explain (some hope) WHY WAS THAT MESSAGE NOT THE FIRST RECORDING TO BE HEARD instaed of wasting my time and money.
