<Livebox Issues? ~ Siemens se572 router. No online light, no internet

Hi all,
I'm a new customer to Orange Home select and have this week received the Siemens router and welcome pack, and an email saying "ready, steady, go! Your broadband is up and running". If only this was the case!
Plugged in and setup and was all going ok. Power light and DSL light both lit up so I have tried using the installation disc that came with the pack. When I get to the bit where I have to enter my username and password it comes back saying "Theres a small problem with your username and password. They may have been entered incorrectly". Ive tried over and over again, but same message.
So using my mobile braodband connection, ive gone to Orange's broadband help page, which says if my "Online" light isnt on on the router, then my username and password havent been entered yet. So Ive followed the instructions on the help page and entered these on the router settings (at 192.168.1.1) but it is still saying my internet status is "Disconnected". I have tried tis over and over, restarting the router and doing factory resets, but still no "Online" light.
I have phoned the helpline each day for the last 3 days, saying that I have done everything the help website tells me to do. So the very helpful man, has me go through everything Ive just done, again, and again, and again. And surprise surprise, still no internet. To which, i'm put on hold for 10 minutes before being told, wait 24 hours and try again! I cant bare to phone the helpline again if Im just going to be told to do everything Ive done already repeatedly for an hour at 5p a min.
Can anyone help with this please, I'm going round in circles and have been on the phone for over 3 hours now in all. Has anyone else had this issue?
