right, so ive used the internet from the very beginning of the internet being available on a 1200baud modem...., and ive never had this many problems.. im totally convinced Orange is a load of ****.
i have a mobile phone contract with Orange for years, and about 3 years ago i decided to take up an offer where you get free broadband...
i got 1 - 1/2 - 2 meg broadband, depending on times of day, etc...
this was free so i was quite happy,
although about a year ago, the speed seemed to be lower, so i clicked a button to get an upgraded modem, and a extended 12 month contract... a good solid 2meg connection
this was also free so i was again quite happy,
but now i want something faster.. i like playing games and got a playstation 3 to do so, needing a bit more bandwidth i read up on what was available, i quite like the sound of "up to 8 meg" and after playing around on the Orange website, i found my line should support "up to 8 meg"
its been two weeks since i asked for this, my "livebox" was sent out 3 days after i signed up for it, but my speeds are really ****, i get less than 2 meg, no fluctuation of such, no improvement, but now i have the pleasure of paying £15 a month...
is there anyone on this site that can offer any help/information or any words of wisdom to help me get what i am paying for
i am fully aware that my line might not actually be capable of getting the full 8 meg, but i was hoping for say, 4 meg.. and a upload speed of more than 0.2 meg.. as i cannot do anything with this, its more or less pointless.. the ps3 wont even connect to the game servers.....
if i cant get this through Orange, why are they advertising this? i know that there are generic adverts on tv, with footnotes and clauses... but why when i give them my phone number can they not work out what i should be bale to get...
