I would post this in the VOIP forum, but it looks quite dead.
Has anyone gone over the 1,000 minutes a month limit yet, and if so what happened? I think its stupid how they dropped it to include Orange mobiles and landlines.
Does anyone know what the consequences will be, as ive only got 3 hours left and im planning to use them today. I think im out of contract now, so if they cap me or anything ill just stop the direct debits and go back to Virgins cable network. No need for a MAC code then!
the phone service will be suspended due to breach of fair usage policy - the customer would then have to call in on their next bill date in order for the suspension to be lifted
Cancelling the direct debit would not cancel the account - this would have to be done verbally over the phone and a 30 day notice period would be placed on the account. If you are still in contract you would have to pay the remainder of the contract.
There may also be a disconnection charge of £24.61 if you switch provider without requesting a MAC code, this is an administration charge to cover the fees involved in clearing the braodband marker from the BT phone line.
