Hi guys, i need some help please. I can't find any related topics on this I appoligise if there are...pls point me in the right direction for the reslove if this is the case.
Issue-
Anyway what I am after is to find a way to utilise the Orange Livebox (as I use the VIOP all the time) but get a much faster wirless connection for my network. Reason for this is that I have ditched Sky and my PC is a proper Media Centre PC, built by me, but i stream a lot of music and recored TV and 'Backed up' DVDs to 2 Xbox 360 in very seperate rooms far away from the Livebox and the Media PC. The problem i am finding is the wireless speed is too slow for new content that i am now using, 'backed up blueray's and HD TV content.
Setup-
I cant move the Livebox as it is plugged into the main/test BT socket to ensure I get the best out of my possible 4 Meg Broadband (in the kitchen, front of house) and the Media PC is under the TV in the Living Room, back of the house) and the Xbox's are upstaires in two of the bedrooms. All PC's/Xbox's are connected using Wireless G.
As i said I dont wont to loose the use of the Orange Viop Line, or location of the PC/Xbox/Liveboox if possible. I have considered using an 'Electric Wiring option, but are these in reality faster/reliable option to stream HD content? Is there a way to use the Livebox as the main router, purly to keep the VIOP and Broadband connection but wire this up using say a CAT cable to a Draft N or now aproved n wireless, router/hub to then connect to the PC getting and Xbox.
Any ideas are welcome.
Thank you inadvance.
Regards,
Charlie.
P.S. Appolgies for the shocking grammerand spelling!!
