Hey, ive been with Orange since the freeserve days never really had any problems untill around 2-3 weeks ago when my conection was so slow i was unable to stream videos on iplayer and really load pages atall, i had this problem for a few days then it just went back to normal. But yea the problem is back and is even slower then before, download speeds ive been getting have been lucky to hit 3.0 kbps I really have no idea what the problem is ive tried resseting the router on many occasions checked all the phone lines. Called Orange and they just gave me the normal bull***t, nothing is wrong with the phone line etc i should have my normal 2mbps but this really isint the case. I have no idea if the problem is me or them?

I had this problem too. It started on Tuesday 25th Aug and numerous calls to Orange didn't resolve the issue. The problem was certainly with them because I have just changed to a new ISP and now my Internet works fine.
Same here. No probs with Wanadoo. Now Orange put my monthly fees up and the speed down. Two or Three weeks ago, the speed started slowing. I am getting a measly 0.12 Mbs. Can't even preview iTunes. Just had a VERY frustrating session with the Indian call centre. What a fiasco. Like wading through treacle. They just don't listen. I will be leaving Orange and looking for a provider with customer support based in UK - probably o2 (now Sky).
I have similar problems with my Orange broadband connection. I hit a good solid 1.8mps until peak time (between 6 - 10:30pm) and then it drops to between 0.2 to 0.8. Soon as peak is over it goes back up.
The cause seems pretty clear to me, yet they still insist on making me jump through hoops (and language barriers) and prevaricate as to 'possible causes'. So is giving up and changing my ISP the only answer then?
