Whats happening to this broadband provider my speed has gone from over 7 meg to 0.13 Meg in a couple of days. After the usual hold for ages I got through to the helpline only to told we know we have problems then I was taken through re-booting my live box which made no diferance at all. It's so frustrating having lost my broadband speed I might as well be paying for dial up.Is anyone else having the same issues.

Having similar problems, speed gone from up to 7.5 meg at times, now constantly down around 0.30 to 1 meg if I'm lucky !!!!
Checked my Orange account details and they have me down as:
"Your currenthome package is: Broadband at £17.61 fastest speed 2GB cap
We've checked out your line and your current speed is 2Meg - this is the fastest speed it can support"
Load of old boll**ks.
This is after charging me £20 to upgrade a year or so ago to 8MB unlimited.
Seems to be an underhand method of trying to get me to "upgrade" to their new "Home Select/Home Max" package, the only thing they'll be getting me to change to is TalkTalk if they don't sort it out.

I had exactly the same, my speed was down to 17kb/s at some point, then off peak would be 6500kb/s i.e. at 2am in the morning, when Im usually asleep!

Take my advice, leave Orange and go to another ISP provider, Orange will try to tell you that it won't matter what company you switch to, you will have the same problem. They told me this lie, I left them and I now have a constant smooth high speed internet connection, any time of day. And no, I wasn't a high user, I was using less than 1gb per month (mainly for online gaming).
Leave Orange and get yourself a better ISP provider
