My fsnet email account has suddenly stopped receiving via Microsft Outlook. Worked fine for months then today it just won't receive.
Keep getting error code 0x80042108, Outlook is unable to connect to your incoming POP3 Server.
Also I cannot get access via Orange webmail. I go to login and I get internet explorer cannot display the webpage. Again this has worked fine before up until today.
Here's the odd part, I can access my email via mail2web.com no problem. However I don't want to use that because I get loads of spam as filters not on and it's a really difficult user interface. Want my outlook to start working again
No settings have been changed for either Internet Explorer our Outlook and both worked fine yesterday.
Settings on Outlook account seem fine (set to pop.wanadoo.co.uk, SSL = 110 etc). Oh and I can SEND emails via Outlook, it just won't receive.
Hmm, seems must've been a server problem or something because outlook and webmail are now suddently working again.
No reboot or nothing, been on computer all day.
I think what threw me and made me think it was a 'settings' problem is the fact that I was able to access my email via mail2web.com. I figured if it was the server I wouldn't get access at all.
Panic over However if anyone knows the answer to the above conundrum I'd be interested in knowing what happened.
