<Livebox Issues? ~ LivePrint: Vista wifi laptop works, XP wired desktop doesn't

Hello folks.
I seem to have a very strange situation on my hands involving LivePrint. Throughout the lifetime of my wireless network, I have learned always to attempt the wireless/Vista combination first - if that works, any other configuration will work. I was surprised, however, that I had no problem at all sorting out my wireless Vista laptop when attempting to utilise LivePrint.
The problem is that my wired XP desktop refuses to work with LivePrint. I can't work out why. I've used all of the online instructions I can find for XP.
I've tinkered with the "Properties" window of the printer - unticking boxes that sound like they might be hindering progress. That didn't work.
Any suggestions? I can't work out why it'd work so easily under the more temperamental operating system...
