I can't seem to log on to my email since Sunday and was hoping if anyone could help. It doesn't work either on the website or through POP.
When I log on through the internet, it takes me to a screen asking me to confirm my mobile number (bear in mind, i've had my Orange email account for at least 8 years and it's not asked this before). Unfortunately I don't have that number anymore nor am I with Orange. If i click confirm the old number, it requests a security code which is sent to the handset. If i click change the registered number option given, it won't recognise my current number (not Orange). SO I thought fair enough; went out and baught a PAYG Orange SIM. Activated it and typed that it when requested. It sent a code to the phone, I registered it.
But now when I log on...my email account disappeared!! there's no email accounts set up; it's as if it's a brand new account. It won't recognise my old number anymore. but it still uses my old email address, old password and NEW Orange number to log me in...but it doesn't actually have an email account attached.
Confused?! So am i?!
Was hoping if anyone could shed any light. Am I doing something blantly wrong?!
Don't know if this is linked to your problem but I have been unable to receive/download emails since last Friday. Keep getting error messages - using Outlook, Windows Mail, and Barca. Have tried on Three occasions to resolve this issue through helpline - the answer given is there is an ongoing problem at the server end which is being sorted (very slowly!!). They tell me it is affecting a lot of email accounts. True or false?!
I can access my emails on Orange online account but cannot delete anything - hence hundreds of spam emails piling up.
I have been told it should be sorted soon - we wait with bated breath!!
p.s. I can send emails without a problem!
Anyone else suffering a similar fate?
