OK so my Talk is now <switched on> and I can phone out but can't phone in. Calling from a mobile I get number unassigned, from landline number is unobtainable. Tried changing the original number provided to something else, rebooting Livebox neither have worked.
Is this usual? Tech from foreign shores seemed to ahve no clue whatsoever on this issue, just wasted my money on an 0870 call.

Check the number is the one you've been trying to use.
Also do you hear the 5 breaks in the dialtone when you immediately pickup the talk phone?

Unless you have already tried to do this (re: above post)
dial your landline/mobile pre-fixing with 1470 e.g.
1470 XXXX-XXX-XXXX
You should either see the number or get it by dialing 1471 on you landline.
