We have 2 desktop pc's both with vista. The one I am using now has a wired connection to the live box and is fine.
Our other pc was connected to the livebox via a wireless adaptor.
About 3 months ago, we tuned on the wireless connected pc and no internet connection and is still the same
After a lot of calls to Orange, still no good.
Both pc's have avg free8.5
I have tried changing the channels on the livebox, turning off the security etc and still no good.
When I click start, connect to, then livebox 6588 [after pressing the pairing button for 5 secs] the wireless adaptor finds the livebox no probs, then asks for the security code [which I correctly enter] then after a while says....
something like it's taking an unusualy long time to connect and thats it.
In Vista when there is a problem connecting, you usually get the option to 'diagnose' the problem. Sometimes this is helpful sometimes it is not.
Try setting security on the livebox to WEP only for now. When changing channels try not to pick a channel close to each other, this would generally provide better results if this is the problem.
I assume you have had the wireless adaptor working before?
Has there been any updates to its software/drivers at all?
